KIRKE – Collection of Internet Sources for Classical Philology
KIRKE, the Berlin catalogue of internet resources on Classical Philology and Ancient History is one of the oldest and most comprehensive relevant data collections worldwide and provides researchers and interested laymen alike with a copious, regularly updated selection of internet sources provided by scholars and complemented by the institute's own information offer on Antiquity.
The integration of this catalogue in Propylaeum added further internet resources of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek Munich, in particular in the areas of Byzantine Studies, Medieval and Neo-Latin Philology and Pre- and Early History. KIRKE's core is still maintained by the Humboldt University of Berlin (Institute for Classical Philology: Latin Philology) and will be regularly merged with the Propylaeum version. This merging means that the web sites are not only entered in the catalogue, but are also processed according to librarian standards, so that scholarly and librarian expectations can be fulfilled.
Suggestions for the integration of further relevant internet sources are expressly invited!
