Thematic Portals

Thematic portals render the virtual library Propylaeum interactive: Scholars can participate by sharing their research results online and thereby not only raise the academic level of the virtual library but also advance networking between libraries and academia.

Ideally, external partners should initiate and be in charge (contentwise) of their respective thematic portal. By using the content management system TYPO 3 the website can be maintained by multiple external administrators with specified accessrights. For technical questions contact the editorial office at the Bavarian State Library.

A first thematic portal will cover the project "Reception of Antiquity in a Semantic Network: Digital Books, Images and Objects" funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
