The "Acta Praehistorica et Achaeologica" have been published since 1970 and are edited by the West Berlin Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte. Until reunification, they functioned as the organ of the collections remaining in West Berlin after the Second World War. With the fall of communism, the content of the journal changed and today serves as the yearbook of the Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte.
The journal is retrodigitized and put online at the Propylaeum-eJournals. First the volumes 1-47 will be put online.
"Aegyptiaca. Journal of the History of Reception of Ancient Egypt" is an open-access journal for the international research community in this field. It is published by the Institute for Egyptology at Heidelberg University.

The Bonner Jahrbücher were launched in 1842 and initially were yearbooks of the Verein von Altertumsfreunden im Rheinlande. Since then, they bear the names of the publishing institutions in their title. Today the journal is published by the founding institution, the LVR - Amt für Bodendenkmalpflege im Rheinland and the LVR - Landesmuseum Bonn. In 1895 the common short title “Bonner Jahrbücher” became the official title.

The „Fundberichte aus Baden Württemberg“ have been issued yearly since 1974. They are published by the Landesamt für Denkmalpflege im Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart. The excavation reports account findings as well as sites and deal with the time period between the Palaeolithic and early modern age.
"Fundberichte Hessen Digital" is published by hessenARCHÄOLOGIE of the Landesamt für Denkmalpflege Hessen (LfDH). The journal is published as the successor of the "Fundberichte aus Hessen". The journal contains articles, reports and notices on archaeological and palaeontological excavations and finds, including examination papers and investigations of neighbouring disciplines.

The “Jahresschrift für mitteldeutsche Vorgeschichte“ is published by the State Office for Heritage Management and Archaeology Saxony-Anhalt in Halle (Saale). The journal has been released under this title at irregular intervals since 1940. Prior to this it was entitled “Jahresschrift für die Vorgeschichte der sächsisch-thüringischen Länder“ (volumes 1/1902–31/1939).
The articles serve as a means to present scientific results in the field of archaeology (Palaeolithic to modern history). In recent times, contributions from neighbouring disciplines were increasingly included within the periodical.
From volume 97 (2019) onwards, the “Jahresschrift” will simultaneously be published online and in print.
