The library of the Archaeological Heritage Office of Saxony is the third largest special subject library on Pre- and Early History in East Germany. By exchanging publications with more than 350 partners all over the world the library is able to offer a great variety of the latest archaeological literature. The collection’s main focus is on publications concerning Saxony from prehistoric times to present age and on special subject literature on Europe from Stone Age to Early Modern Age.

Halle, State Office for Heritage Management and Archaeology
The Saxony-Anhalt State Office for Heritage Management and Archaeology offers bibliographical records of monographs on archaeological subjects that were acquired by the State Office’s two libraries. In addition, the collections of four formerly private libraries can be searched.

The Special Subject Catalogue Egyptology comprises all publications on Egyptology acquired by the University Library Heidelberg. Some of the records are enhanced by scans of tables of content. Records of digitized publications are available as well.

Kiel, UB: Special Subject Catalogue Pre- and Early History
The library of the Institute for Pre- and Early History at Kiel University is one of the largest archaeological libraries in Germany. In addition to it, the University Library provides access to other relevant titles. The collection includes publications on all fields of Pre- and Protohistoric Archaeology as well as related subject areas. Titles concerning Northern Europe are purchased and catalogued by the Fachinformationsdienst Nordeuropa.
Mainz, Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum
The library of the RGZM is one of the largest archaeological libraries in Germany. The collection’s main focus is on publications concerning the cultural history and archaeology of the Ancient World from Palaeolithic Age to the Central Middle Ages. Currently the online catalogue includes books and journals catalogued in the years 1987-1999 and accessions starting from July 2004. New publications are constantly added.

München, BSB: Autographs and personal papers
Starting with its foundation in 1558 the Bavarian State Library has been collecting personal papers and since 1858 autographs as well.
Available on the internet are ca. 15.500 autographs and personal papers catalogued in detail since 1992, constituting only part of the collection.

The library of the Leopold Wenger Institute is the largest library on ancient law in Germany. The online catalogue offers bibliographical records of essays on ancient legal history starting from 1991.

Tübingen, UB: Special Subject Catalogue Ancient Near East
The Special Subject Catalogue Ancient Near East combines the older collections on Ancient Near East Studies of the University Library Tübingen and the special subject collection “Ancient Near East”. It also includes publications on Ancient Studies in the departmental library Schloss Nord and publications on Biblical Archaeology in the Theologicum library.

iDAI.bibliography (ZENON)
The iDAI.bibliography/ZENON online catalogue consists of ca. 1.3 million bibliographical records. This database includes the library collections of all DAI departments, the DEI Amman and the Winckelmann Society as well as retrodigitized source materials and e-resources. Books, journals, essays and reviews are catalogued descriptively, subject oriented, and topographically.
Listings of new acquisitions are available.
Connecting the bibliographical data to other portals of the DAI (e.g. iDAI.gazetteer) is in progress.
