Index to the correspondence of the Wilamowitz-Moellendorff family

Ulrich and Ulrike von Wilamowitz-Moellendorff left behind approximately 600 letters, ranging from Ulrich's childhood and his school years at the Landesschule Pforta (1862-67) to the time of his travels in Italy and Greece (1872-74). These documents are supplemented by a large number of letters to and from relatives and family friends.

The transcription can be accessed via a separate tab in the online presentation. The names of persons and places are clickable and explained in pop-up windows. In addition, conventional footnotes offer explanations of events, terms and facts, among other things.
